Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: Black belt caterpillar wrestler Date: 26 Mar 20 - 08:54 AM Why did I read that as "first telepathy session"; though on second thoughts what a useful therapy that could turn out to be:) Robin |

A few puzzles, Quick and Mondays cryptic and quiptic in the Guardian (on line) , a few puzzles in the I and the local EDP and a couple of these simple ones and daily jigsaw. Some good links there. I already had the jigsaw links from a previous thread but I do like the simple cryptic crossword. I have a couple of sudoku links https://thesudoku.com and https://www.247sudoku.com/ but I would really like to find a good Killer Sudoku site. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: Mrrzy Date: 26 Mar 20 - 10:16 AM I am by now bored with my puzzles too. My telepathy (tee hee) session wasn't that bad... I was able to set it so I didn't see me, but just the therapist, and I spent quite a bit of it cleaning up a grapefruit juice spill. He commented on how uncluttered my ceiling was. We have senses of humor. I keep thinking that during the times I would be walking to group therapy and doing group therapy and walking back I should walk or pace, then do the art or music we'd be doing, then walk or pace sime more, but I don't actually do it. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: Mrrzy Date: 26 Mar 20 - 03:07 PM Some more. Meanwhile I'm in quarantine... A week ago I had dinner with my son, whose girlfriend's boss now has it and whosw colleague is getting their fever tested. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: Jon Freeman Date: 26 Mar 20 - 06:44 PM Can’t help with the Sudoku, stanron but I’m glad you like the simple cryptic. I do the quick, cryptic and codeword in that set. I have tried their American crossword but I’m less fond of the grid and never seem to be on the same wavelength as the setter… |

Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: Jon Freeman Date: 26 Mar 20 - 09:10 PM I don’t run to those. The one time mum and I did get out this year involved some Irish tunes (I try to play tenor banjo/mandolin) though. Moving in that direction, perhaps you could find a way to cook Whelan’s Old Sow??? |
Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: Mrrzy Date: 27 Mar 20 - 08:12 PM Made tzatziki... There is a lot of liquid to be gotten out of grated cuke. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: Rusty Dobro Date: 28 Mar 20 - 05:09 AM In previous episodes of boredom, I've read all of Pepys' diaries (over a million words, but much more fun than you might imagine), the Sherlock Holmes canon, 'Canterbury Tales' (complete, in Middle English) and Thomas Hardy's novels. This time, I'm trying to learn 'Little Man, You've Had A Busy Day' on the guitar, with Clapton's chords, and I have a fiddle to learn, from scratch (literally). Oh, and I'm taking part in Rainfall Rescue: https://www.zooniverse.org/projects/edh/rainfall-rescue so brain death will probably get me before the virus does. |

Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: Charmion Date: 28 Mar 20 - 11:37 AM I'm not allowed to be bored. There's always something to vacuum, scrub, cook, or edit. And it's still Lent. The shutdown is basically Extra Lent. Crap. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: BobL Date: 29 Mar 20 - 04:04 AM I've about 40 jobs on my To Do list, with only 5 on hold because of the lockdown. Most of them involve long-overdue cleaning and tidying, I've been putting them off for ages and they don't look any more attractive now than they ever did. Learning Andy Cutting's "Petit Chien" (on the melodeon, at dance speed, with no bum notes) looks like taking longer than my life expectancy. However apart from that, I'd be unstoppable if I could just get started! |
Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: EBarnacle Date: 31 Mar 20 - 11:41 PM I am getting a project together. It will be a reading of a play I have adapted from Shakespearean materials. There are a lot of roles, most of which are brief. My plan is to do it in several sessions on Zoom. When it is done, I will be posting it on YouTube, crediting all participants. There will be a thread about it soon. If you are interested, please PM me with contact info. No need to get bored--just do stuff. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: Mr Red Date: 01 Apr 20 - 02:16 AM for the ceilidhnauts of this parish, there is the Covid Kitchen Ceilidh on April 18th at 8pm BST. Mudcat thread & details calling for 1 - 4 peeps. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: Donuel Date: 01 Apr 20 - 08:08 AM Well sure exceptional people do exceptionl things. Issac Newton and Shakespeare did some of their best work during the Plague in England, but what will the rest of us do? Most people are busy getting a degree in TV and a doctorate in Google. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: Mrrzy Date: 01 Apr 20 - 09:56 AM And doing things alone is boring. I have been washing curtains. Still boring. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bored bored bored From: Mr Red Date: 01 Apr 20 - 09:58 AM www.zooniverse.org/projects/sandorkruk/hubble-asteroid-hunter They way I figured it, if can help find the one asteroid any bigger than the Chelybinsk that might do for us then I want to be part of it. But no one ever expected the COVID inquisition! |
