Subject: BS: Hamish MacInnes: Final Ascent 21/4/20 From: Gallus Moll Date: 21 Apr 20 - 04:59 PM Final Ascent - The Legend of Hamish MacInnes is on BBC Scotland channel this evening at 22.00 - an amazing documentary about this legendary climber who in his later years was misdiagnosed and found himself in a locked hospital ward - this elderly climber escaped. climbed onto the roof - --! Was eventually saved when a fellow climber and para medic realised he had been misdiagnosed - excellent film. I'm off to watch it NOW! |

Might also be able to purchase the dvd, think it was an independently made film originally? Think my favourite bit is the very end credits, when they post the height and date details of Hamish's Final Ascent?! (All previous ones were of mountain challenges - this was of the height of Belford Hospital roof, and the date of his breakout!!!) |
