It's the birthday -- or just after the birthday, not sure --
of Senoufou's better half,
a post from Senoufou says as much.

Some of us Eliza/Senoufou - loving Mudcatters
almost think of her husband as a family member at this point.
The two of them take good care of each other
and we hear so much about them together.

As she has told us, he has just enough English
and he is a genuine Francophone;
his French must be worlds better than my French, for example.

Oh wow! He's absolutely over the moon with your good wishes!
So very kind of all of you. He actually had tears in his eyes when I read out your posts!! He loved the song Monique (merci mille fois!) and Mrrzy's lovely greeting, both being in French. And he thanks keberoxu for the thread too.
He had a very nice birthday. He chose two 'posh' shirts online, plus he had some trainers bought a few months ago (to add to his dozens and dozens of pairs!)
Because it's Ramadan, we decided to give Zakat (a charitable gift) by sending quite a large sum of money to a friend in Abidjan called Sie. (pronounced, see-ay) He's very thin (I worry about TB) and got married a few months ago. Ibrahima contacted him and told him the Western Union code etc. He nearly exploded with amazement. He'll be collecting the transfer this morning (WU branches are open over there) Honestly, knowing their terrible poverty, I get more pleasure than the recipients feeling I've helped a tiny bit.

Ib is thrilled with all these comments! He says, "Thank you all for your good wishes and it is very kind of you. Mo oh feh"
The last bit is Malinke and means "I love you all!"
He can't get over how complete strangers on the internet have been so lovely to him.
There is an old thread on Mudcat with some pictures of him being led into Morris dancing at the Straw Bear Festival and the Sheringham Potty Festival. I wonder if someone could find them? The thread was about 'blacking up being offensive to black people' and Joe kindly put our photos on to show that Ib wasn't in the least offended.

I have just read out to Ib (and translated for him) all the latest greetings, and he can hardly believe the kindness and goodwill of everybody! He repeats "Mo oh feh" for me to convey to you.
Isn't Mudcat great, with people all over the world contacting each other and sending good wishes like this?
I've found the photos in my Yahoo email thingy, but don't have a clue how to post them on. When I sent them to Joe, Ib did the technology for me. But that was to Joe's email address for Mudcat, and Joe isn't allowed to put them on the site, as no pics are allowed.
Mr Red suggested a 'domain' but whatever's that? (hee hee sounds a bit royal to me!)
