Subject: Folklore: R4 prgrm on C Sharp rival (til 3am GMT) From: GUEST Date: 13 Feb 21 - 05:49 PM Just came across this on BBC Radio 4extra. Unfortunately, it's only available until 3am UK time on Sunday Feb 14th (but I'm going to try to download it). "Lucy Neal goes in search of a home for the valuable archive of her once renowned great great aunt, Mary Neal, suffragette, social-worker, colleague and later adversary of Cecil Sharp during the great English Folk Dance revival at the start of the twentieth century. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0084ldp |

Lots of information about Mary Neal at Mary Neal ... an undertold story. Her archive is in the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library here: Mary Neal Papers. |
