Subject: RE: Tune Add: La Manfredina From: Jack Campin Date: 23 Feb 21 - 04:55 AM The tune is probably free on the web somewhere but a chord sequence is NOT it. |
Subject: RE: Tune Add: La Manfredina From: RunrigFan Date: 23 Feb 21 - 07:32 AM I tried perhaps I tried the wrong thing |

Subject: RE: Tune Add: La Manfredina From: RunrigFan Date: 24 Feb 21 - 04:50 PM I didn't see that which is odd. I mainly saw those chord websites and youtube |
Subject: RE: Tune Add: La Manfredina From: Jack Campin Date: 24 Feb 21 - 06:34 PM The chords in that first post seem nuts. It's a mediaeval tune in the Dorian mode and two chords is enough (tonic and subtonic). YouTube performances all seem torpid. That six-bar phrasing suggests it went with a specific dance. Anybody got a video link to it being danced? |

Subject: RE: Tune Add: La Manfredina From: Jack Campin Date: 25 Feb 21 - 02:58 AM I give up trying to copy that imgur link on my phone - I simply can't physically do it. I presume it's a modern arrangement - who by? |

Subject: RE: Tune Add: La Manfredina From: Long Firm Freddie Date: 25 Feb 21 - 06:46 AM This is a less torpid version! Early Music Consort of London - David Munrow LFF |
Subject: RE: Tune Add: La Manfredina From: Jack Campin Date: 25 Feb 21 - 07:30 AM Thanks - the Munrow version is a lot more believable (and no chords). Who did the arrangement on that Imgur scan? |
