Subject: BS: Happy (belated) Birthday Steve Shaw From: keberoxu Date: 16 Jun 21 - 11:01 AM Apologies for the lateness of this post/thread, and many happy returns to this veteran Mudcatter. You keep the BS section from falling asleep. Long may you comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. keberoxu |

Subject: RE: BS: Happy (belated) Birthday Steve Shaw From: Nigel Parsons Date: 17 Jun 21 - 05:44 PM Belated happy birthday. Tell people you're 46. You don't have to mention that it's in hexadecimal. |
Subject: RE: BS: Happy (belated) Birthday Steve Shaw From: Steve Shaw Date: 18 Jun 21 - 12:50 PM Gosh, my very own birthday thread! That feels like I've joined some kind of Mudcat elite, become a member of "the establishment!" I did have a glass of Nero d'Avola on the night as it happens. Polly the cat took us on a couple of months ago now so she wasn't "for my birthday" (whereas this new iPad was - I didn't realise the annoyances I was putting up with that were visited on me by my ancient, non-updateable one). My little sister from Yorkshire (a stripling of 56) has been here, first time for ages, the weather has been great and we've had a whale of a time. I've been telling everyone that 70 is the new 32, Nigel. A very nice lady in Bude Morrisons spotted my "I am 70" badge and said, good heavens you don't look anything LIKE as old as 70! I like the sentiment of the opening post but I'm going to contemplate the meaning of "comfortable" in that context! |
