Greetings Kendall. What's the current status of your vehicular problems, and are you still planning on a trip to the Spitit of the Suwannee Music Park? We've been stirring the pot here are are hoping to use your postponed visit as a focal point for the first-ever Florida gathering of Mudcatters. The weekend of Feb 19-21 looks like a winner because it's a holiday weekend for many folks. Let us know what's up.

Hey Harpgirl you must not be getting my personal messages?? I got my car out of the transmission shop. Cost me $400.00, Now the damn thing is backfiring and hogging up. I'm waiting for the expert to recover from the flu to check it out. I dont work on them any more..too complicated..requires too many special tools and knowledge of on board computers etc. Right now, I'm pretty discouraged and unable to decide if I want to brave that 1500 mile ride with no one to talk to or not. The first time I made that trip, my buddy Gordon Bok went along for the experience, then he flew back. It cost me a ticket, but, it was worth it. He's married now, so, not inclined to do that again. Anyway, I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the wondering paddymac and harpgirl

That reminds me----Gordon & Carol's anniversary is on leap day (if that's what it's called). Does that mean they only celebrate every four years???

I dont know yet..if I find someone to go along, I probably will go. Otherwise, probably not. When you are as loose as ashes, nothing is carved in stone.

2. Read him a Bible passage about "sharing wine"

3. Give him a bottle of Dristan. It will clear his sinuses and he'll smell better.(or even perfectly)

4. Buy a cat.

5. Remind him that Bush jr. didn't know the names of ANY leaders of foreign countries, and that Donald Trump OWNS most foreign countries. He'll vote Reform.

Freedom to travel IS one of the perks of retirement. Unfortunately, paying large auto mechanic bills on a reduced retirement income also comes with the package. Bummer! Hmmm, wish I could go too RIGHT NOW. I am in the famous polar fleece penguin suit,, and I am still cold, but I have to be cooking again on Tuesday. As is the case of Kath Westra, if you are still stuck in Maine, say around the 20th of February, I'll be up there then. I am also NOT the person you want sharing the driving, as I am legally blind, and can't tell a person from a post box at 30 feet. ah me.

Sorry you are stuck here in the cold Kendall. Perhaps we could do a Mudcat relay to get you out. I could travel with you until Sunday night, someone else could take over from there . . .
