You can find two lists of the folk programmes available on BBC Sounds and BBC i-player, with many programmes that could easily pass un-noticed otherwise.
Programmes are often available for 30 days after broadcast. However, I doubt that either list will pick up all the programmes with an element of folk music.

BBC Sounds - Categories - Folk

BBC Sounds folk programmes
This lists programmes from the national and local BBC radio stations.

Programmes categorised as Music: Folk - Available now - BBC

BBC folk programmes
This lists TV programmes too, plus a different selection of radio programmes.

Desert Island Discs Sports, guest sports promoter Barry Hearn; first broadcast 20 November, repeated 25 November 2022 available for 19 days.

Barry Hearn showed his liking for folk songs. He has followed Tom Paxton since 1967, and Tom Paxton was a surprise performer at his 70th birthday party. Barry was born in Dagenham in East London in 1948 and grew up in a council house. At school, he enjoyed playing cricket and football, but freely admits he wasn’t good enough to become a professional player. Instead, he became an accountant and when one of the companies he worked for asked him to find some investment properties, he bought a chain of snooker halls.

DISC ONE: The Gambler by Kenny Rogers
DISC TWO: Sweet Home Chicago by The Blues Brothers
DISC THREE: Sunshine On My Shoulders by John Denver
DISC FOUR: The Lonesome Boatman by Finbar & Eddie Furey
DISC FIVE: Snooker Loopy by Chas 'n' Dave
DISC SIX: The Best by Tina Turner
DISC SEVEN: American Pie by Don McLean
DISC EIGHT: Forest Lawn by Tom Paxton

Barry Hearn chose a similar selection for a Tom Cridland podcast in 2020; Hank Williams - "My Best Friend", Paul Simon - "Still Crazy After All These Years", Tom Paxton - "Last Thing On My Mind", Garth Brooks - "The Dance", The Beach Boys - "God Only Knows", Simon & Garfunkel - "America", Bob Dylan - "Blowin' In The Wind", Don McLean - "American Pie", Ray Charles - "Georgia On My Mind", Elvis Presley - "Always On My Mind".

23 December 2022 23:00 BBC Radio 3 Late Junction

In this special festive edition of Late Junction, we hand over the musical reins to comedian and long-time listener Tom Allen. When not busy with comedy panel shows, hosting The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice or on tour with his award-winning standup, Tom is a keen appreciator of the weird and wonderful in music, and shares some of his sonic favourites with us alongside stories and cheer.

Drawn to things that are melancholic, maudlin or camp, he’s a big fan of renaissance choral music, sea shanties, traditional folk songs, and a new genre he’s coined ‘Medieval Emo’. A Late Junction listener from his early teenage years, he shares some tracks he discovered via the show, as well as other songs close to his heart from the likes of Thomas Tallis, Sufjan Stevens and Kate Bush.

Plus there’s an exclusive mixtape from the legendary jazz collective The Sun Ra Arkestra.

Woman's Hour; The fiddler and folk singer Bryony Griffith and singer, instrumentalist and percussive step dancer, Alice Jones are established solo artists at the heart of the UK folk scene. They have joined forces and earlier this year they released an album of Yorkshire songs and folklore: “A year too late and a month too soon” - which went to No.6 in Mojo folk albums of the year. They join Krupa Padhy live in the studio to discuss the tradition and to perform a Yorkshire Christmas song - Early Pearly.

And wishing all Mudcatters and musicians a warm Christmas and a happy New Year.
