Subject: Guitar: Rock-it barre device. Anybody tr From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 28 Apr 22 - 05:04 PM A friend of mine told me sadly that arthritis may soon prevent her from playing her beloved guitar. I looked online and came across an invention called Rock-it Barre which is supposed to make playing easier, even for arthritic or injured hands. Has anybody ever tried this invention? |

Anybody tr From: GUEST,Piers Plowman 28 March 2022 Date: 28 Apr 22 - 05:05 PM This is the first time that I've heard of this but playing lap-steel style might be worth a try. For more complex music a pedal-steel might be an alternative. They are available with two fretboards, quite a few pedals and up to 4 knee levers. While they're not cheap they also don't cost the earth. It would be a shame to stop playing because of a physical disability. |

I love gadgets and would try something like this out but not for $28.00. My impression is that it could be useful under some circumstances for some people but probably not for a person who can already play the guitar. I realize that you want an answer from someone who's tried it, so this is just for what it's worth. |
