I was into the Cult of the Subgenius some time ago. I admired the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, I knew about the Flat Earth Society back in the 70s when they sent my father unsolicited mailings, and I really enjoyed the 60 Minutes segment last Sunday (20220501).

CBS - 60 Minutes from May 1, 2022. I'll have to look for that piece. I haven't watched that program regularly for years now. (You need to turn off your ad blockers to watch anything on CBS; even then I can't get Chrome to play it. I've had luck with Firefox.)

I bought an antenna and use broadcast TV. Even with that there are too many channels.

I watch broadcast also. Since HD TV became the standard reception is much better and there are dozens of channels (most of them I have blocked out in my preferences.)

In an oddly related different topic, a local NPR station today interviewed an author about her research into the development of a new market for hallucinogenic drugs - some have a major benefit to treat depression, but the marketplace is about to open the floodgates to ketamine addiction and related problems here in the US. We will all probably see what conspiracy theories look like on a different class of drugs.

Hi, Robomatic. I just watched a 60 Minutes show on the Birds Aren't Real group. Come to think of it, I don't know what to call it. Is it conspiracy, satire, theater or a form a protest?

It touched my heart when the leader said "We are the mass-shooting generation."

I'm a bird-watcher, and I have quite a few birds in my yard, but if I encounter the Birds Aren't Real van, I will go along with the game.
