Subject: Obit: Elisabeth Marie 'Lis' Saya From: Waddon Pete Date: 24 Sep 22 - 10:13 AM I'm left wondering how we missed this back in 2020. Probably because we were all dealing with the pandemic in our own way. Thanks are due to Ebbie who brought our loss to my attention. I can do no better than direct you to Lis" obituary. Clearly a wonderful person to have known. Subject: RE: Obit: Elisabeth Marie 'Lis' Stork Saya From: Ebbie Date: 25 Sep 22 - 04:43 AM Lis was truly a remarkable person. Her kind doesn't come along very often. Talented, a good friend, curious, loving, active, great backup guitarist, enthusiastic violinist- and one thing the obit doesn't mention, she was a good painter too. She did some abstracts also but I really liked her realistic paintings. Her death is a great loss to the music community. Juneau won't ever be quite the same without her. |
