https://www.bristol.gov.uk/residents/streets-travel/bristols-caz/view-a-map the only clue I had (26 miles away) was on the back of a bus. Yesterday!

20 year-old cars won't qualify unless you can wangle an exemption. Blue badge maybe. Most petrol 2006 upwards, and diesel 2015 upwards are OK.
With Lundun considering more stringent rules, Bristol's is just an opening shot.

As far as I can see, the Folk house is on the cusp, but more significantly, the nearest multi-storey car park is IN - even if you can choose a route around! Forget on-street!

French dance (boureed treasure) tonight BTW (Nov 26) at the Folk House. (would that qualify this above the line?)

Sadiq is extending the London ULEZ next August 29, it's said. My lad, with his 2012 Golf diesel, is hopping mad as he'll be well inside. He and I bought our diesel cars (mine was a 2010 Focus) when diesel was lauded as the best thing since sliced bread. Anyone remember that?

khan is an insolent, arrogant little man. That said, according to the tfl site my 2003 Micra complies with ULEZ.

So how are they going to police this? Surely they are not going to waste £billions on number plate recognition cameras??? There will surely be an upsurge in false number plates!!!!!!!!!!

From my son's experience, they'll bloody get you if you so much as drive a few yards out of your street. I don't know the in and outs of the costs, but I should think that the fines/fees, which you can't escape, will pay for the setup.

I looked up my 2003 Micra on the tfl site and it complies with ULEZ, thank Clapton!!

What's a determined capitalist like you doing driving a 2003 Micra? Is your other car a Beamer, a Merc, an Audi Tittie or a Volvo estate? (Note how I selected all the hatred-inducing ones there when I could have said Roller...)

We had the Micra model before that one and the bloody gearbox almost fell out. The sills were as thin as a Quality Street wrapper by the end...

Our main car is a mere 2008 Nissan Qashquai. Mrs Bonzo bought that because the high driving seat is just right for her back.

2008? Blimey, you sound more like a socialist every day. I've got a 2020 Focus and Mrs Steve has a 2018 Fiesta ST Line and we're still socialists!

Not sure, but I think that in most modern cars you can adjust the seat height with a little lever. Mrs Steve likes hers so high that I can hardly get into the bloody thing without my bonce crashing into the roof lining. I can't my knees under her steering wheel either, as she has the seat so far forward. You can't tell 'em...

You can't tell 'em...

Like humour, each to their own.
