Searching for songs for the Winter Solstice that would work for family style audience...adults and children of all ages.
Are there any folk dances anyone can recommend as well for the Winter Solstice. Fairly easy dances for family group would be best

I think you might find the most results quickest in older threads.

On the home mudcat.org page where there are boxes

in the 'search' type solstice and
and change '30 days' to 'all'

If the Cat's main search is sprained, as istr it was yesterday, try the Google-search box instead. Alternatively, search for

solstice site:mudcat.org

in your favourite all-Net search engine. Hope this helps.

Yes, it was as I feared, in this darkest of nights:
Our cat disappeared, from the shimmering lights
She vanished for sure, as our dinner dragged on.
And also, it seemed: my hoodie was gone.

We search the whole house, every room at least twice,
We just scared local spiders, and a couple of mice.
Until at least, we were certain, of what we could say:
"No room held a hoodie, and the cat stayed away."

We searched through the garden, and we checked though the shed
Just in case the poor kitten would have made there her bed,
"We were bound soon to find her", at least: That I was told.
But with my hoodie still missing, I was getting quite cold

We finally gave up: Not a cat to be found.
We trooped into the house, left our boots on the ground,
But we got a surprise; well, how about that:
Curled up under the stairs, were the hoodie and cat.
