Great interview, thanks for the link.
I'm more a fan of Mr. Simpson's instrumental work, he plays those old ballads like Jock o' Hazeldean, The Shearings Not for You, Banks of the Bann etc. with such great tone, feel and lyricism. It was interesting that he cited two of my all-time favorite LP's, Doc Watson's Home Again and Marty Robbins Gunfighter Ballads as early influences and I agree that the 12 string is "the devil's work" (in most cases).
