Fix the system and we can fix ourselves and the future. So...
What is the system?
By following the money we can see where regulatory agencies and organizations, corporate and otherwise, get their money.
Each of these organizations eventually end up perpetuating themselves over and beyond what they were initially meant to accomplish.
Yes their own self interest trumps the good they were meant to do.

Lets look at the basic systems of food air and water first.
The American Diabetes Association is sponsored by ; Dannon, Kraft Foods, Oscar Mayer, Velveeta, Lunchables...

The American Cancer Society is sponsored by; Tyson, KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell...

The American Heart Association gets its money from; Texas Beef, Kentucky Beef Council, Idaho Beef Council, Nebraska Beef Council, Colorado Beef Council, Cargill, Tyson, Unilever, Dairy Max, Subway, ConAgra Foods, Farmland Pork, Purdue, Pepsco, Nestles, Mars...

You see the trend that the meat and sugar corporations are the ones that cause the problems.

The government Health advisory boards are sponsored by McDonald's, Beef USA, American Meat Institute, Dairy Management Inc. American Egg Board, Anheuser Busch, Snack Food Association, Campbells, General Mills...

USDA may not say these foods are good for you but they do not warn against them. Yes, processed meat causes colon cancer but big AGRA has all the money of Tobacco and big pharma with the personality of the American Rifle Association and makes laws against filming meat processing and the American Consumption ACT which insulates the producers.

Big Pharma enjoys the problems the food industry causes.

I could go on and discuss how air and water is similar to the food system collusion with the polluters by silencing the problems with money.

I'm only going to say that all the protein is produced by plants, dead animal meat is only recycled plant protein. Shhhh, Corporations don't want you to repeat that fact.

The other systems that need fixing include the tens of thousands of cults and religions that may provide community and cures for loneliness but can have some horrible costs. Systems are protected by thick hard shells of money and are hard to crack.

If we were true carnivores we would have long pointy teeth, extremely short digestive tracts so meat would not putrify and we would sleep 80% of the time like cats. If we were true omnivores we would be like bears. We have more in common with gorillas and elephants,

If you have a pernicious chronic health problem let the first alternative medicine be a plant-based diet.
What the Health?

The arts, too, are part of a system of some sort.
Today's New York Times has got a scathing review
of the Venice Bienniale which has visual arts entries
from everywhere except for the Russian Federation (or whatever name it goes by now).

The critic likes what is on display but
lambastes the curator who decided how to display it,
saying that everything has been "exoticized" amongst other things.
"Patronizing" is the least of it, according to this critique.

The importing of ancient art is quite a system. From Coptic box panels to Trogen helmets. All sorts of antiquities find their way to billionaire basements.

Stolen art like Rembrandt's Storm on the Sea of Galilee from the Gardener Museum is either still in the US or got shipped east.

While the Mona Lisa has been stolen twice the Ghent alter painting has been stolen 13 times.

Thanks for what. I'm known as the wacky guy who posts half the time about stuff we don't know. Perhaps we may never know or at least the various subjects begin the quest to know with the possibilities of "What Ifs".

There need not be a stigma in exploring what is unknown.
For whatever reason the usual subjects would denigrate such discussions. For me that behavior never served a good purpose.

Sometimes the blind squirrel finds a nut and I've found a couple but I feel as lucky as Forrest Gump in doing so even after an enormous amount of time and effort.

The provisional truth may be out there but for us, we mostly only have clues, what-ifs, or total ignorance.

Doors to the unknown are often; follow the money, follow established silence, and phenomenology.

There is a philosophical argument that knowledge is evil.
It's unfortunate when people follow that POV.

Spoiled bourgeois suburban brats are protesting in support of HAMAS.
They miss the point of protesting war.

Trump's VP hopeful bragged about shooting her puppy and goat.
Ignorance knows no bounds but wisdom is an isolated island.

Let's look at your internal system of what you eat.
You are not just feeding yourself, you are feeding your microbiome of bacteria that is mainly responsible for digestion. If you don't have a diversity of bacteria some of the bacteria will eat your own mucus and digestive tract to survive which is not good. 10 calories for me is not 10 calories for another person. It is the good bacteria that does the digestion for you to absorb. A rural person has a more diverse microbiome than a processed food industrialized society. High fiber makes a slower healthier digestion. Sugar foods make for a fast manic digestion. For those who are microbiome-deprived a fecal transplant may be required but most people are not that far gone. gut trailer

Cults confuse fantasy/lies with knowledge. There are cults within many families as well as religious or megalomaniac cults. This means that there are millions of cults.

To measure is to think you know.
To cut is to know the measurement was wrong.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to track down the origin of:

There is too much in life which is measured with a micrometer, marked off with chalk, and cut to length with an axe.

Another system, one I've pondered for a while. The network that Trump has built extra-governmentally. I am beginning to think that along with telling the GOP House and Senate members not to go ahead and fix the immigration problem because he wants to run on the current chaos, he's gone even deeper and met with Netanyahu and promised him something to his benefit if he keeps this Gaza operation going. Look at the impact here, discord among Biden voters like he could only have dreamed of. Netanyahu is probably headed for jail when his term ends. Keeping a war going pretty much assures he stays in office and out of the slammer, and once Trump is in office, his new buddy gets some kind of reward. This is something Trump really should go to jail for, if it pans out this way.

For several decades the right has strived to establish what is called the Imperial Presidency. This is over and beyond the power to release nuclear weapons. An Imperial Presidency would minimize the other two branches of government.

This is not Trump's doing but has been advancing over decades step by step. That Trump is pathological is secondary to the right's desire for an Imperial grab for power outside of Democratic processes.

Wall Street has contributed billions to candidates and has had an ongoing stranglehold on former Wall St. CEOs to always be the Treasury Secretary. 2008 was a deliberate inside job.

Despite all the ignorance and warts, Trump is a puppet of the Billionaire class that gladly took 'Trump's' 2 trillion dollar tax cut for the 1% minority rule.

Trump is basically a useful idiot 'Durst' like figure who is rich enough to pay for loyalty and a possible payout. The real evil characters do not seek publicity. They own the boards, clubs, banking Associations and governments.

That Trump is a pathologic, pathetic immature person is a plus for the real bosses in charge. The real bosses have determined that Donald is worth the dangerous risks for the benefits and distractions Trump is known for.

Again blaming Trump for everything is like blaming a clerk or salesperson for the evil of corrupt multinational corporate controllers.

A dim-witted clerk could be guilty of being rude and stupid but is usually just following orders.

Clerks do get prosecuted for stealing.

He's the figure in politics and history of this time that suddenly "normalized" what has in the past decades been considered unseemly and people didn't usually talk about their extreme politics and their illogical desire to vote against their own self interest. He's a tool used by the more discrete power brokers (who are becoming more well-known themselves, if not exactly household names - like Leonard Leo of the Federalist Society, behind the Trump Supreme Court nominations)

I could have mentioned Leonard Leo and the Federalist Society but I'm glad you did. The powers that be tried to advance the Imperial Presidency with W Bush but he was left wanting as well.
Eventually, a populist dummy will seem to have all the skills and talents for Emporer. For my own reasons, I believe Rap's Emporer thread is genius.

Yeah, Trump is political but he is not the ideal authoritarian God.
I wonder if double-faced Trump will flip-flop to support HAMAS to raise his violent mob quotient. So far the protestors at his trial are few in number as low as ONE.

I don't know how to fix the internet but I have picked up a few things about computers.
If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
And the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
And the address of the memory makes your crappy disk abort, Then
the socket packet pocket has an error to report!

If your cursor finds a menu item followed by a dash,
And the double-clicking icons put your window in the trash, And
your data is corrupted ‘cause the index doesn’t hash, Then your
situation’s hopeless, and your system’s gonna crash!

If the label on your cable on the gable at your house,
Says the network is connected to the button on your mouse,
But your packets want to tunnel to another protocol,
That’s repeatedly rejected by the printer down the hall.

And your screen is all distorted by the side effects of gauss, So
your icons in the window are as wavy as a souse,
Then you may as well reboot and go out with a bang,
‘Cause as sure as I’m a poet, the sucker’s gonna hang!

When the copy of your floppy’s getting sloppy on the disk,
And the microcode instructions cause unnecessary RISC,
Then you have to flash your memory and you’ll want to RAM your ROM,
Quickly turn off your computer and be sure to tell your mom!
