Subject: BS: Long Night in Ukraine 2, 2025 Extended From: robomatic Date: 22 Aug 25 - 03:46 PM I realize that the original thread, doated back to 2h022 when Russia firsst invaded, is dated and has several hundred posts the most recent of which is months old. So I am initiating a part 2 and repeating my new post in case it is time to weigh in with fresh insights. Progress seems to be either negative, very slow, sluggish, or nonexistent. Last week TRMP and Putin had a very publicized (and uneventful) summit here in Alaska which seems to have been an opportunity for Putin to escape potential economic/ military penalties. In the meantime there have been more drone attacks on civilians and metropolitan infrastructure of Ukraine.o There is an internet article on the leader of N. Korea presenting medals of valor to some of the troops he 'volunteered' to Putin. Which indicates that at least some have returned back to N. Korea. Wonder if more have rotated out TO the front. In the past, Ukraine received a lot of material assistance from the U.S. I do not know the current status of same. With the tender emotional nature of our very own 'Dear Leader' I suspect our allies are very aware of the need to kiss some, er, fundmentals and/or lick some feet to get positive feedback. Meanwhile John Bolton, one of the most anti-Russian state department apparatchicks of the recent past, who has since become a pointed TRMP critic, has found the FBI searching his house, and has had his security detail revoked. |
