All I could find was that it was done by Hal Kemp and you might be able to ge a copy here

BMI has a song listed called Wooden Head Puddin Head Joon, by Willie P. Guidry, who seems to write Cajun songs - Tek Publishing, Lake Charles, Louisiana, is the publisher. I'd guess that's it.
But then, on the other hand, CDNow says that "Puddin Head Jones" was by Don Redman & his Orchestra.-Joe Offer-

Joe,I think one of them probably not the Cajun one was about a baseball player, although I could be wrong I quite often am.
