James Taylor looked pretty cool in his younger days. Check him out in "Two Lane Blacktop" my favorite bad movie of all time.

Nowadays of course, he is as follically challenged as everybody else of a similar age, and doesn't carry quite the same aura of brooding intensity which made him sexy, I assume.

I was wondering when someone would get round to Kathryn Tickell - all the concerts I've seen her performing at have had an awful lot of chaps at the front trying to look up her skirt! However, being of the opposite persuasion, I'll second Dougie MacLean, Rory McLeod and Ralph McTell (walls plastered with posters of him in my teens)...how about Paul James (ex Blowzabella)... and then there's the son of one of the McGarrigles - can't remember his name but would probably be accused of cradle snatching (well you can look, can't you?) Martin Simpson is high on my list - love his tattoos (see the album cover for "When I Was On Horseback) and love his guitar playing even more.

It's a little sad that my favorites are all from other eras, like Judy Collins from mid-1960s, Sandy Denny from a few years later. Though she's not a pure folky, I think that Shawn Colvin has the look.

Tho' I haven't seen her in recent years, I used to spend a lot of time looking at the covers of early Judy Collins albums. Had to quit when they all got stuck together.

Emmy Lou Harris is also aging VERY well.

Of course I can't disagree very strongly with the above votes for Natalie McMaster — dynamite lady, both for the eyes and the ears.
