Subject: A bseed sighting ! From: Dave Swan Date: 09 Mar 00 - 07:01 PM p.j. and I ran into 'seed last night at our favorite Indian restaurant. He is in good health and happy, except that his computer suffers from lumpuckerosis of the hard drive with farfalosis of the modem. The patient has malingered in this state for the past three weeks and the prognosis remains uncertain. 'seed will be at our house Saturday afternoon, so if you've a message for him, I'll be sure he sees the computer. Cheers, E.S. |

Subject: RE: A bseed sighting ! From: wysiwyg Date: 09 Mar 00 - 07:04 PM It's possible that lombosis may also be involved, as well as the epizootics. Probably just needs the Mudcat cure. |

Subject: RE: A bseed sighting ! From: Jeri Date: 09 Mar 00 - 07:37 PM Needs to do a class 3 diagnostic of the warp coil. Until that's completed, he'll have to shunt power from the impulse drive. Wesley, oh Wesley...what have you done with my sonic screwdriver? (Just to mix TV show geek-speak) |

Subject: RE: A bseed sighting ! From: Little Neophyte Date: 09 Mar 00 - 07:50 PM Dave thank you for thinking of us and letting everyone know that you found Charles to be in good health. I would greatly appreciate if you would pass on this song I made up for Charles. To the tune of Jim Croce's Time In A Bottle If I could save postings in a bottle The first thing that I'd like to do Is to save every posting that Charles did send And return even better ones to you But there never seems to be enough time to read the things you want to read when you find them I've been around enough to know that Charles' thoughts are the ones I miss around the Mudcat Little Neo

Subject: RE: A bseed sighting ! From: catspaw49 Date: 09 Mar 00 - 09:15 PM Now first, let me kick your Swannae butts as you haven't been any too communicative lately, but I do understand and also admire your dedication to each other, the community, and to your friends (who DO understand). Now as to Seed..................... Do I have something for you Seed? Yeah, I got something for your ass...Got some advice. Use fockin' a phone!!! Heard of libraries??? They got some of them computer things that you could use for a bit. Sweet suckling Jaysus, I had no idea if you were alive or dead and then you make a couple of quick posts and flitter off again. Unbelievably, you DO have friends here and "Neo Bonnie Lil' Phyte Banjo" has had several bad episodes without the guidance of her "Uncle Charles." Now I know you ain't jacksquat but a dirty old man with designs on the removal of her drawers, but she looks to you for advice and where ta' hell are you? Tipping holsteins in LaJolla??? I'd shove your banjo straight up your sorry ass, but your head is in there taking up space! Fix your 'puter problems and get your pissant carcass back here. I miss you my friend.......... Spaw |

Subject: RE: A bseed sighting ! From: Amos Date: 09 Mar 00 - 10:58 PM And strange yellow freeform designs on his undies, thinking about it...Neo, you do awfully well without advice, if you want an extraneous, uninvited but laudatory opinion. |

Subject: RE: A bseed sighting ! From: Little Neophyte Date: 09 Mar 00 - 11:06 PM Amos, thanks for the compliment but Charles use to hold my hand when I felt intimidated on a Thread. Stuff like that I miss. Little Neo |

Subject: RE: A bseed sighting ! From: bseed(charleskratz) Date: 12 Mar 00 - 02:22 AM Geez, I had to refresh three days worth of threads to find this thing. Swanno told me about it this afternoon--he and Swanna hosted another nonpariel song circle/pizza feed--and I would have used his 'puter to check it out, but now his is sick (maybe he caught the virus from me at Ajanta, the Indian restaurant he mentioned, and carried it home to his window on the Mudcat world). Anyway, I haven't been totallyabsolutely out of touch: I logged on several times at school, read my mail, sent a couple of eMails, dumped a ton of eMail from Harptalk (I couldn't cancel without being on my own computer), listened to Bonnie play the banjo, etc. I've been back on line for a couple of days, posting here and there, not up to speed by a long ways. Bonnie, I loved your tunes: Rick must be one hell of a teacher and/or you are a hell of a student. And thanks for the song. And Pat, I was really moved by your participation in the thread about the baby drop-off boxes (Perverse as I am, as I started reading that thread the image of the "Brain Depository" in Young Frankenstein: Igor reaches through the dog-door type of opening over the brain receiving box in the door to the depository to open the door so he can steal the brain of Hans Delbruck, poet and humanitarian, for Dr. F to install in the monster's head.) But it was a fascinating thread and you proved that while your brain may run on half a watt, your heart is big as all outdoors. But stop tryin' to come between me and my niece, bird dog. Funny how much "Guest of a Guest" sounds--and spells--like an old friend. It's good to be back, but I have massive piles of work to do so I've gotta restrict my time here a bit--now should I be a good little Muddie and devote my severely limited time solely to music threads? Nah. --seed --seed |
