I've been following the Jambalya thread, and had to plug my friend, Jason Ecklund, better known as Captain Stringbean these days. He wrote a great song about getting taken at the casinos, to the basic tune of Jambalaya, called "Casino Scandalino". I can't even find the CD now, but I will. The only part I remember is:

Casino Scandalino, go to Hell-o
From the wild river down to the bayou,
Gotta lotta whores, Compudyne-O,
Can't think no more, had too much beer and vino.

He also wrote a parody of the old song "Cool Water", subsituting "Hot, Crispy Bacon".

He is not strictly a humorous artist, having written most of his songs, many serious in nature, and for a one man act puts on one Helluva show. Jason Ecklund is from here in Southern Colorado, but has toured all around the U.S., and parts of Europe as well. Poor but dedicated, I like to refer to him as our "wandering minstrel". It's possible that some of you have seen him in coffee shops or bars. He gets back to my hometown a few times a year, we always have great fun when he does. His dad is an accomplished painter here, and co-ordinating his art exhibits with the music is always a blast. Anyone ever heard of him? (I know it's a shot in the dark). BlueJay

Indubitably. Fruit jars are easy to come by in country kitchens, and are known as vehicles for white lightning, especially for them as can't afford a whole gallon jug.
