I was told the other day that there is a second (all new) Rise Up Singing. Haven't found it...Anyone have any info on this? Thanks, al

Hi, KT - Click here for a recent thread on the subject. The book was supposed to be out in 1999, then 2000. Latest word is that they're having trouble getting copyright permissions, and they don't know when it will come out.
Frustrating, isn't it?

I originally bought Rise Up Singing thinking I'd only use it occasionally like most other song books. Let it be known, it is not most other songbooks! I use it so much I didn't know how folkie I was! If there's anyone reading this who does not know the book, don't bother asking, just buy it, and pray like me for a second volume.

Yeah great, let's get the editor to do an episode of Mudcat radio for sure. One request....Be sure to call up Barry Finn and have him sing his piece about RUS and then talk to the dude for awhile. I wouldn't miss THAT show for the world!!!

Peter is not unaware of the criticisms that have been made of RUS and how it is sometimes used, and says Volume Two is gonna be somewhat more, um, broadminded.
