Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: 'HORSLIPS' Rescue Me From: GUEST,UB Dan Date: 03 Aug 01 - 09:19 AM I found this old thread while I was looking for "Trouble With A Capital 'T'". I know it is probably an obsolete request now, but I wanted to put this link in somewhere in case more people do a search for the horslips: all the albums and most of the lyrics can be found at http://www.horslipsrecords.com/albpage.html |

Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: 'HORSLIPS' Rescue Me From: GUEST,Horslips Fan Date: 02 Mar 12 - 07:41 AM Rescue Me was written in G and was recorded by Johnny Fean using a capo on the third fret*, as mentioned, and using a standard D shape. If you follow this you'll need to use D, C and G followed by A, G and D and then for the chorus use D,G,Em,A and D. There's a sneaky little chord used for the "..busily climbing my family tree" bit, but it can easily be achieved by holding the D shape while removing your first finger, thereby leaving the third string open. No capo? Don't worry. Just play it in D. |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: 'HORSLIPS' Rescue Me From: Geoff the Duck Date: 02 Mar 12 - 08:30 AM A very old thread - links above are now dead. For anything Horslips - including new recordings and DVDs to buy - start at the official Horslips web site, scroll to the bottom of the page for pictures linking to different sections of the site. Quack! Geoff. |
