J.J. Chaisson from PEI will open this concert along with Mark McPhee. Many people that havent heard C.B. music will be at this concert which usually features established Folk types-Brooks Williams,Pierce Pettit,David Mallet to name a few. Wish us luck

George, I will be happy to ask him on the 20th.. I remember talking recently to Hilda and J.P. was off recording.. soooooo that may well be the anxiously awaited CD.. They have been very busy touring now,,, just finished building their new house so now they have to pay for it...KGH

Oh yeah, sooner or later there had to be a Cape Breton Fiddler/Nashville Cat/Bluegrass Guitar Astounder.

Or maybe it's just one of those happy freaky things...any flatpicking fans, JP will blow the top of your head off. Watch for the guitar break in "Kelly's Mountain"--it's utterly impossible. Great song even without the break.

Hey Willie O... have you heard The Mathmatician/sleepyMaggie set??? Talk about great.. He is just amazing.. And a really great guy too.. Hilda sees to that.. For an 80lb woman she keeps him in line!! her piano playing is in the stratosphere too!!!

Some folks can't say enough about the Cheticamp area where Cormier lives. My cousin Clarance who works for the Cape Breton Highlands National Park is one of them.

Wanted to tell all about the concert on Saturday.. J.P. and Hilda were in wonderful form.. He is truely amazing to see.. his guitar playing is without question the best I have ever seen.. He charmed the audience and was called back for three standing ovations.. Anyone who gets the chance GO AND SEE THIS GUY... he will be at Lincoln Center in The big apple in August....
