From: GUEST,shotgun

I am seeking the lyrics to a bluegrass song titled, 'Julieanne.' The chorus contains the lyrics...

"Dress yourself in satin, put some ribbons in your hair, but if you say your gonna leave me, it's more than I can bare..."

'Julianne' is a Pete Goble song. It's on an album called 'Tennessee 1949' by Bill Emerson and Pete Goble on Webco Records. Unfortunately, there is no lyric sheet. If no one can readily supply, I will transcribe it for you later. Nice song.

Here you go. It's much shorter than I remembered.

JULIANNE
(Pete Goble & Leroy Drumm)

Julianne what are you doin', making plans on leaving me?
Have I made your life unhappy, is this how it has to be?
Will you be here in the mornin' when the rooster starts to crow?
Will my fears all be uncalled for? Julianne I've got to know

Chorus:
Dress yourself in silks and satins, put some ribbons in your hair
But don't say you're gonna leave me, it's more than I can bear
Go and have your night of dancing if you like those country songs
But when all the fun is over – Julianne, come on home

Julianne, you know I love you, I can't live my life alone
Is there some way I can please you, tell me what would keep you home?
I don't have no gold or silver, got no diamonds for your hand
But I've got this life I'll give you – oh, I need you Julianne

Repeat chorus (x2)

Words and music by Pete Goble and Leroy Drumm Brandykeg Pub. Co.
Source: Bill Emerson and Pete Goble 'Tennessee 1949' Webco Records WLPS 0123.

--Cheers, Stewie.
