I learned this song a couple of years back and now I can't find the words. It was recorded by Scotsman Stephen Quigg (?) who plays regularly with The McCalmans as well as by Wolfstone. If anyone has the lyrics I would be grateful. E-Mail me directly @ [e-mail]

Roy Bailey recorded a song by that title on his CD "Never leave a story unsung". I knew it byt the title "The Last Leviathan". The song was written by Andy Barnes (Date?)

I've always known it as The Last Leviathan, and liked the version Archie Fisher did on his live album with Garnett Rogers, brother of the late great Stan.

If I can find the tape I'll sit and listen for you.

There is a great song which have heard a few times and I would love to get the lyrics and history.

I tink it is called "The last Leviathan".
Part of the chorus goes like this;
My soul is.........and I am bleedin
While the beauty around me fades and I am screaming
I am the last of the great whales and I am dying.

Magic song! I'd dearly love to learn it and know about the author etc.

Funny. I was about to post the lyrics when I found this thread. I'll just tell you that the song is also performed by Cor Cochion Caerdydd - Cardiff Reds Choir; they have a site but I don't remember the address now - just go to www.billybragg.co.uk and get the link there.
