NZ folk scene - September?

What is likely to be happening in NZ in September - I will be in the South Island 9-21 September and North Island 21 September-1 October. I don't mind if it's folk clubs or dances!

Hi Jennie - suggest you check out "http://kiwifolk.org.nz/" (sorry - too challenged at present to do a clicky thing for you!). This site will give you the flavour of what's about in NZ. As individuals may not have provided up to date info about gigs etc, I suggest you also post on the NZ folk community email group - "[e-mail]" like most folk communities, I know you'll find them a helpful and friendly group. Do many performers, groups make there way to the NZ Folk scene from Australia?

Any Australians out there that have travelled to NZ to perform?

What advice to you give to keen south pacific "world music" folky types with an eye to ANZ music?
