Subject: Do You Remember The Shimmy? From: GUEST,gunn0025@tc.umn.edu Date: 21 Aug 00 - 06:13 PM Hi! An older friend spontaneously burst into a rhyming song, probably from the 1930s because of its references, and she was overcome with joy. I thought it would be nice to find her a recorded version of this ditty. It begins with something like, "Do you remember the shimmy? Or who invented the [blankity-blank]?" It ends with something like, "because if you remember, then you are older than I . . . " Any good guesses about what the title of this song is? Thanks! Please email me directly: gunn0025@tc.umn.edu |
