Has anyone got the dots for either of these two tunes? Both played by Dezi Donnelly on his CD "Familiar Footsteps" First is probably from Des Donnelly, and the second from John Sheehan.

The Fiddler's Companion  has the following entries:

JC's Tunefinder has two versions of Shutter's Hornpipe, which you might like to check out in case they're anything like what you're looking for.  I have a copy of the version of The Sunshine which Mallinson prints, but he doesn't give sources, so I don't know which version it is; though it's in Enduring Irish Session Tunes, it sounds more Northumbrian than Irish to me.  If you'd like a copy, let me know.  I haven't been able to find the tune in the online O'Neill.

Malcolm

Hmmm... that's an abnormally long link I gave there (bad proof-reading, I'm afraid), but it seems to work.  I just hope that it doesn't interfere with subsequent postings.

Malcolm's got it right with the dots, but if you'd like to hear other versions played try: Sunshine Hornpipe
Brendan Keenan (uilleann pipes) LP Gael Linn CEF106 (1984)
Sean Maguire (fiddle) LP Gael Linn 'Portraid' CEF137 (1988)
Second Star
Natalie MacMaster (fiddle) CD 'A Compilation' Greentrax CDTRAX140 (1997)
