Subject: RE: Going To Scotland in Nov. From: Jock Morris Date: 19 Sep 00 - 10:42 AM Weather's no that bad now; sun's out and really quite pleasant. Granted, it was cold last night. Regarding hostel type accomodation, we do have the Scottish Youth Hostel Association who have a wonderful network of hostels throughout Scotland. Despite the name they do allow people of all ages. The view from Ratagan hostel is one to savour. Jock Morris |

Subject: RE: Going To Scotland in Nov. From: Lyrical Lady Date: 17 Sep 00 - 04:23 PM She is very interested in hearing some traditional music and taking in some Highland dancing...she is planning to travel by bus as opposed to train if thats accessable...ie: is there a bus to the Isle of Skye and out of the way places. She is flying into Glasgow and plans to go to Edinburgh and who knows from there. Is there anything similar to a YMCA or hostel type accomadation? She plans on staying for two weeks and would like to see as much as possible, she is travelling alone and is strickly on a SOUND and sight-seeing mission. Her heritage is pure Scottish, and has planned this trip to connect with her roots. She was a highland dancer in her youth and this will be her first visit to Scotland. Together, we are planning a Robbie Burns Dinner and she'll be looking for inspiration. Any that you can give would be most appreciated! Thank you LL |
