on saturday, september 23, Stephen Fearing did a benefit concert to help raise money for expert witnesses at the inquiry into the Walkerton tragedy...

it was held in a barn set up for concerts, at Stonyground Farm, renowned for it's lovely gardens....200 in the audience in a semi-circle of chairs and hay bales. the sound was great. opening for fearing was richard knechtel, who later accompanied fearing on harmonica for a few songs. it was a great concert, full of energy and passion.

last night, september 24, i heard fearing again, at the Flying Cloud Folk Club at the Tranzac, in Toronto. the whole night was absolutely superb! fearing is a master songwriter, singer and guitar player. and in the audience were the likes of Cate Friesen, Bernie Finkelstein, and ...Bruce Cockburn!!!
