Ah, my job here is done..... She takes after her mother then.... And what Manitas (the Fingers for those who were wondering) didn't tell you was that it was dark, he had the mouse on the wrong side (he's a northpaw) and I was kneeling on the floor, he was sitting in the chair and the keyboard was at the height of my nose! Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the week Oct 4 From: wysiwyg Date: 06 Oct 00 - 06:50 PM But Mudcat Snot of the Week... no, not the same at all. It could work though. I know who should run it too, that one's easy. SNOGS TO YOU MORTI! I just have one request. This week's snog thread is dated. Could we please keep that up? It's awful hard to keep track otherwise. Or number them. Or do them by the month. Or sumpin. ~S~

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the week Oct 4 From: Manitas Date: 05 Oct 00 - 01:54 PM Flippin' 'eck! I come up here to catch up on my mail and Liz starts handing over my shoulder telling me what threads to read. Then she spends 10 minutes typing a few dozen words! It's like watching paint dry, no wonder our phone bills are so high if her typing's so bad! Anyway, Tish, if you want we'll come down and mess up the place so it'll seem like she's just popped down to the shops. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the week Oct 4 From: Lanfranc Date: 04 Oct 00 - 07:23 PM Just a snog at twilight, when the lights are low, and the flickering shadows softly come and go. Though your heart be weary, sad the day and lnog, still to us at twilight, comes Morty's snog, Morticia's sweet soggy snog! Don't worry, Morty, she'll be back when the cash runs out or the laundry needs doing or the university digs are crap or the boyfriend's stood her up or any of the other million and one crises that crop up in a student's life need a bit of maternal TLC. Oh, yes, and a belated happy birthday to Micca! |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the week Oct 4 From: GUEST,Kit Date: 04 Oct 00 - 07:18 PM Skipjack, our local pool had one of those signs, might still do. Don't you love those quaint country notions? I always figured heavy petting was when you snogged a fat person. The images abound... Big hugs to anyone who needs them, I'm not going far really. The major problem is juggling my box and my books. My biceps won't be big enough for a start. Kit |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the week Oct 4 From: katlaughing Date: 04 Oct 00 - 04:39 PM I hereby declare the Mudcat to be an
by order of Mortee, Queen of Snogging!! Here's a great big one for you Mortee and a cuddly hug, too. When we left New England, we drove off with my oldest daughter, my best friend and confidante, standing on the sidewalk waiting for her bus to the next town over where she'd just moved. We had no idea when we would see each other again as we were going all the way out to Wyoming. She and I cried buckets. I don't know how, but we did live through it. Did the same thing with my son, but we were only going 2.5 hours drive away, so knew we would see him frequently. Our youngest reversed the process and left us behind at home. I think I prefer to be the one leaving. I hated the empty house after she'd left. She is now back after two years, in our house and buying her own house! Wallow, Mortee, go ahead and wail, scream, sob, holler, talk to us (ICQ or PM's)...let it out and know that Fiona is missing you as much. It will get better. It's what we raise them to do and we can be glad that they do it well. luvyabuncheswithLOTSofSNOGSkat |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the week Oct 4 From: Wavestar Date: 04 Oct 00 - 04:06 PM Ooh, Skipjack, does that mean I get one? I've been back a little while, I suppose. I always find the Mudcat more distracting when I'm here, though... Anyways, snogs for Morticia! I'm sure Fiona will miss you too, but don't worry, she'll be having a good time with it. Mbo, I almost envy your ability to see your family, but then again, I love being on my own so much too... And Skipjack, I was looking at one of those signs just the other say, and laughing at it! -Jessica |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the week Oct 4 From: Micca Date: 04 Oct 00 - 12:23 PM Skipjack, I bet Liz the Squeak would regard that as "mercy killing" putting the accordion out of HER misery, and everyone knows you use a shotgun for accordions. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the week Oct 4 From: GUEST,Mbo_at_ECU Date: 04 Oct 00 - 12:23 PM Big snogolas for you Terri. Too bad Fiona didn't get a deal like I did. Parents call 2x a week for 45minutes, get emails on the rest of the days, and we drive home on Friday afternoons and come back up here on Sundays afternoons. We're only 85 miles away, so we still keep the contact. Also, me and my sister are here at school together, and share an apartment, so the family ties are never too stretched. However, we haven't been home in 2 weeks..we go home on Friday, woo! Wish it could be easier on you...I don't doubt she feels much the same as you do. Links of gold connect you together...yes, it may stretch sometimes, but the chain will never break. I also recommend ICQ, it's great. More happy snogs! More happy happy snogs! --Matty |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the week Oct 4 From: Skipjack K8 Date: 04 Oct 00 - 10:05 AM Morticia, you of the capacious heart, may I have your permission to sub-contract some of your snogs for all the female 'Catters leaving home for University roundabout this time? 'Specially Kit, who's off to York very soon, and has the joint distractions of the 'Cat and her accordion to deter her from any serious studies for at least a couple of years. Thread creep alert. My father, now a serious octogenarian, recieved a sound thrashing at Clifton College for shooting an accordion with an air rifle. He assures me no-one was wearing it at the time, and it was left by an open window, bellows akimbo. I think he deserved the thrashing! Skipjack |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the week Oct 4 From: Skipjack K8 Date: 04 Oct 00 - 08:59 AM This is a bit UKish, but does this weeks snogee remember the quaint signs that used to adorn the walls of public swimming pools, listing what was verboten. There were charming little pictures to help the illiterate bathers. The one that used to crack me up was "No Petting". The commissioned artist must have sat there a long time wondering how he was going to approach this subject. The picture, as I recall it went something like this. Rear view of a presumably salivating male, ogling a pneumatic blonde with too much lipstick, with hearts rising to heaven in thought bubble format. That was the end of the story. Obviously they didn't snog in the pool, but did they get it together later? What constituted petting, and what was the difference with 'heavy petting'? It just struck me that if they'd put "No Snogging" I wouldn't still be wracked with these ridiculous life wasting questions. Anyway, Morty, all I meant to ask was, as you ought to be in snog control at Llanstock, what is the greeting snog protocol? air kisssing mwahs, both sides, or tonsil boxing? I just like to know the form!! Snogs to you, anyway, missus, and hope the house ain't too big without her in them pictures in that pub with them Yanks. |

(Which I DO understand--Wavestar went back to St Andrews last month and I REALLY miss her!) But Morticia, Here's a BIG hug and a snog, and check out icq (if you don't already have it.) It's so nice to log on and find your kid who is 5 time zones away--and I have 2 of those right now--on line and ready to say Hi! Cami Su |

Subject: Mudcat Snog of the week Oct 4 From: Micca Date: 04 Oct 00 - 07:54 AM I think this week Snog should go to Morticia (since she cant nominate herself0 on the following grounds... 1. she has just "lost" her daughter her First Born and her Best Friend and drinking companion all at once(Fiona went away to University yesterday)and is probably feeling a bit down. 2. She invented Snog of the week 3. she is a fun person to drink, eat or generally have as company. 4. She deserves it!!!!
