Television News is filled with the scenes of Yugoslavia. Information is still limited yet it looks like there are few casualties in the large protest taking place right now. Tonight my thoughts are optimistic, of an end to the misery that has been inflicted by Milosevic

According to the latest news reports, the police and the military are siding with the demonstrators. Parliament is a shambles.

Apparently, it's being speculated that Slobbo may have run already. The people have stormed the Parliament building and the state-run news agency is proclaiming the opposition leader to be the president. I hope this can resolve itself without much bloodshed. There has been too much of that so far.

Well said Roger-latest reports said SM is fleeing from Belgrade- it's like the fall of the Berlin Wall all over again -here's to a peaceful revolution!

Just hope it works out better than it did in Russia. And a lot of that depends on whether the heavy-handed get-rich-quick carpetbaggers can be kept out of the driving seat.

It always seems at times like this that there are two contrasting crises in the world's spotlight at the same time, like in 1956 and 1968. This time it's Belgrade on the one hand, where things seem to be sorting themselves out, and (touch wood) there doesn't seem to be much killing, and on the other hand Israel/Palestine, with a nightmare on the streets, children getting shot, and no clear way out of it.

Incidentally I suspect that link I gave to a revolutionary news source in Belgrade won't work, because too many people are trying to access it.
