I can't even log in properly.Wild october rain is providing the soundrack.Marinated octopus eaten at five in the morning is coming back up.I should find a way to crash somewhere here(at a friend's place)but for some strnge reason I can't rest.I believe it to be some strange syndrome, like 'touched soul' or something that serious. If there was a human being awake around here I'd give him/her the biggest hug in the hemisphere. But anyone's asleep,so I was wondering if there is some human being out there in Mudcatville.
Love
Lena

If at least I was able to log in!!!Now 'GUEST',my best friend, will come up again saying I'm not myself, someone else is acting under my cookie...Next to me there is screen(the hosting, sleeping friend is some filming guy and all is just TAPES around me)(I'll better not describe the movies on now)showing weird things.I'm wondering about homeland Europe,so near to middle east.i'm wondering about people....I'm amazed.Besides.I caught a late night glimpse of Callie,at two in the morning,in front of a supermarket hunting for food...
She did a great job at the Choral sea night yesterday. If none from the mudcat was there to see it,I'll tell her:good on ya!!! Will i ever fall asleep.I was saying:yes, human beings are a wonder.what are you guys doing right now?1the octopus is keeping down, but it spins a lot.Octopus-like hugs.

That's a misconception Lena, my fuscias are still blooming as well as a few lingering Seet Peas. Bears will eat anything, even octopus.

What do i need?!All the people from last night back, because I thought about what they told me and i need to ask them more...or give them more affection.being costrained, polite, controlled,is acrime against society and fellows I'm committing too often.life is too short to think before you hug!!!And i'd need many of yous around here.and some powerful sleeping pill...shall i go out for a walk now?!Ya reckon?!

Lena, sleep is overrated. You have lots of good advice to give us. Just now I believe I am waking up from about eight years of some sort of sleep, the sleep where I forgot that it mattered to try to live a truly great life. I'm still a bit groggy, and it took the pain of losing someone because I was, as you say, constrained, to shake me up, but I sense a change, and I wish I could have been the first to say hello to the 14th but perhaps if you are still awake and it's the 15th you could say hello to me because it is the future I need to create just now. Love, Margaret

Margaret,I can say hello to the sixteenth if you like me to.I'm refreshing the thread to spread(sorry for the rhime)some important information:that night I didn't go to sleep.I basically went to sleep at one in the morning the day after. But at six o'clock the 14th of october I logged out the mudcat machine ,stepped out of my friend's house, had a look around:'Ok,I'll walk to the harbour. So I started walking. The point is,that at down next to the most beautiful Balmain Bridge, with airons(or flamingoes?!)flying around perfectly coreographed, and orizontal clouds,I mean,WITH THE LOT,the most perfect rainbow was stretching above my head.
Just thought I had to warn you about it....
Love
Lena

Played a gig on the 13th, with a bit much of the drink taken, so no trouble sleeping. Tonite/this morning, it's a different story. It used to be I'd just get up and read, but now I log on and usually come right straight to the 'cat. I'm a big believer in hugs. Love giving and getting them equally. I really feel sorry for folks that seem to think hugs are necessarily laden with sexual content. It makes it very difficult for them to just simply enjoy the warm embrace of another being. Ah, well, the well-lived life might just be a struggle against our hangups.

Ah, Lena, if I had your gorgeous talent at being able to write utterly expressively, so that in three sentences or less your meaning is articulate and interesting, I could answer that question about my "thing" more easily! But the simplest answer is FEAR. I am waking to a dawn whose light is revealing the extent to which fear has been dictating a lot of my life choices, without my even being aware of it. I've been avoiding a passionate life because of so many fears, fear of failing, or of just being mediocre, fear of rejection, fear of irresponsibility, fear of commitment... all these things being intertwined, of course. One can't necessarily live one's whole life at a fevered pitch -- one has to sleep sometimes, after all -- and some of the choices I made several years ago were good at the moment, but I've allowed them to stay with me for longer than their useful lifespan. I've been lazy, really. But I think one gets lazy out of fear. So it's time for a major change. Birds help, honestly. They are in my dreams and in my waking life, and I seek them out. It was actually just on Wednesday the 11th that I was out taking photographs of my museum when two great blue herons wheeled up overhead from out of the marsh, maybe they were in Australia two days later though I doubt it...I couldn't take a photo, just had to hold my breath and watch. I need to sing, and I am singing the songs that others have written that seem to get at what I'm feeling. But even that is a refuge; the real thing to do, barring fear, is to make my own songs. By the way, my other name is catbird. Margaret
