"I've noticed that the great majority of anti-choice people are either men, women too old to conceive or too ugly to get laid."

Only a very hateful person would make such a statement.

Kendall, cowardice cannot be counted as one of your faults. You have the ability to take it as well as dish it out. But I thought you were one of these sensitive liberal guys. You know; in touch with your softer side and all that.
How can you be a liberal AND a curmudgeon?

I don't care what anyone thinks or says, but I'm not giving my name.

Kendall Morse is not a nice man. Once, in a moment of weakness, I was stupid enough to let myself get picked up by him.

When he was done, and it didn't take him long, he was quickly out the door.

By the way, he's bald, he's fat and his "little Kendall" is really little.

It's a misquote from a George Carlin bit... Carlin On Campus I think... and the reason it tick most peopl off is becasue it's 100% the truth and most people haven't got the stones to admit it!

"Have you ever notice how most people who are against abortion... are people you wouldn't want to fuck in the first place?"

"How come none of the men were offended?" I imagine most men reading it would have agreed with most women that it was a cheap offensive throwaway remark that deserved to be left alone to sink like a lead balloon. When a friend farts in public you don't necessarily feel obliged to comment on it.

Guest, Sandra Mackay ... Your first post was yesterday and the only thing you've said so far is that kendall is hateful. You don't know any of us well enough to make a statement like that.

I did not like what kendall said, however, I know him and will defend his right to say it. He is not hateful and his style of humor is not always the best for a forum such as this.

And, Guest,I will not give my name for this post ... then you shouldn't have said it. I don't think there's anyone on here who cares what size little kendall is and I would have to say that your comment ranks right up there with kendall's.

I was offended and said so. Apparently Kendall not only thinks pro-lifers are ugly, he thinks I'm a woman. Someone once said it takes fifty "attaboys" to make up for one "f*ck you." Kendall, you're way behind.

(Does anybody remember that Planned Parenthood was started by a woman who wanted to ensure black women (and other "undesirables") had fewer babies than white women, so they wouldn't take over the USA? Look it up; it's true.)

I am male. I saw the humor in, but did not consider Kendall's comment to be very nice. However, Guest who did not give her name went beyond "not very nice". Her comments were mean as hell.

It takes time to get to know the "usuals" who post here. Everyone has cantankerous days, so if you judge someone by one or two post, you may be making an overly quick (and incorrect) assessment of that person.

I have not been at Mudcat long, however, I have often enjoyed and benefited from Kendall's input.

My heartheld thoughts on abortion are MINE, and, as with my Spiritual beliefs, I do not try to force them on anyone else.

To each his own. To you, yours. To me, mine.

Otherwise, you can just bite a fat hog in the ass! :D

Sanger (who started what became Planned Parenthood) also had the audacity to tell women that they had the right to tell the men in their lives "no". She had her faults and bad ideas, as we all do. The idea that women could and should say "no" was not one of them. The idea that family planning was a good thing was not one of them.

Since there is some animosity 'round these parts the past few days, I feel the need to add that I still luv ya, MT. This message is not in anyway meant to be a jab :-)

Alex- that story in re a founder of planned parenthood is pretty far out there. Can you provide a reference or source? I don't have any knowledge of it, but it doesn't seem to fit with the work PP has done over the last 2-3 decades.

Man, did I plow up a snake or what? I've never understood how people with no sense of humor can stand this screwed up world. I feel sorry for them. I also feel sorry for anyone who engages in a personal attack, and lacks the guts to use their name. If thats the extent of your intellect, how can you operate a computer?
By the way, I'm not a violent man, I love humor, even black humor. So Guest with no name, if you can muster the wit to retort in a humorous way...go ahead. Otherwise, piss off. If what you said was true I might have been offended. As it is, I laughed, because it sounds like something Spaw would say, and he doesn't know any more about me than you do.

Okay, I'll back away from the race issue. Nevertheless she was in favor of using birth control to curb the number of "unfits" being born. This is from the planned parenthood website:

Although Sanger uniformly repudiated the racist exploitation of eugenics principles, she agreed with the "progressives" of her day who favored

*incentives for the voluntary hospitalization and/or sterilization of people with untreatable, disabling, hereditary conditions

*the adoption and enforcement of stringent regulations to prevent the immigration of the diseased and "feebleminded" into the U.S.

*placing so-called illiterates, paupers, unemployables, criminals, prostitutes, and dope-fiends on farms and open spaces as long as necessary for the strengthening and development of moral conduct

(see clicky)

To give equal time to the other side, the pro-lifers don't have nearly as rosy a picture of Mrs. Sanger as PP does (surprise surprise!). THey say:

In the United States, immigration of Jews (along with other "undesirable" groups) had already been drastically curtailed by the 1924 Immigration Restriction Acts....

Today we know that thousands of Jews seeking asylum in the United States were turned back from Ellis Island in the 1930s after quotas had been filled....

Did Margaret Sanger oppose the 1924 Immigration Restriction Act?

In a word, No. Margaret Sanger strongly supported these acts. In her own words, "c. to keep the doors of immigration closed to the entrance of certain aliens whose condition is known to be detrimental to the stamina of the race, such as feebleminded, idiots, morons, insane, syphilitic, epileptic, criminal, professional prostitutes, and others [!!!] in this class barred by immigration laws of 1924."

(see this site: clicky ------------

In short, she wasn't a very admirable person, I'm thinking. This of course proves nothing about the respectability of PP, or of birth control. But it's one of those cases of whitewashed history, and I'm all for people knowing the truth, whether it be for me or agin' me.

And old farts that post the most
The next thing I saw was a scurrilous swipe
By a Guest with no name
The post was rude and the post was crude
But the post was really lame

Kendall got insulted by a guest with no name
A dipsh*t with no shame
On the Mudcat, we get this crap now and then
And here we go again...

Mousethief, I don't get the point on your Margaret Sanger post. I think we've mentioned before that it's not surprising when people reflect the time they live in. Were she alive today, I would imagine there'd be no doubt in your mind as to where she'd be standing- definitely on the liberal side. (On the other hand, I agree that if she were alive today, she probably wouldn't be able to stand.)

I posted this to the kendall apology thread, but I decided to post it here, too. (What the hell, right?) I just learned how to do cut and paste on my computer and I think it's a lot of fun.

I wasn't offended.

I agree that there isn't a woman on the face of the planet who can't get laid. For every woman in the world, there are at least 100 men who would gladly give her a good poke. (Probably a lot more than 100.)

Here's my one "however". I have found that a lot of men who like the kind of humor that got this whole thread started in the first place, are frequently offended when they hear jokes like:

"Why did God create Man?...."

"Because dildos can't mow the lawn."

Personally, I choose to not tell jokes that could be taken as "gender bashing". I think they cause more bad feelings than good feelings. And to me, humor is about good feelings. But that's just my own personal preference. If kendall wants to live with the repercussions that frequently accompany that particular kind of humor, he's a big boy, he can make up his own mind.

Carol
