Just wanted to let Mudcatters know that my son Ken Schatz -- known to many of you as half of the NexTradition and a fine singer of shanties, works songs and other good stuff -- is featured as the "Announcer" (and several other voices) in a new cartoon series called "Sheep in the Big City." The show is premiering this Friday evening, Nov. 17, at 9:30 p.m. on the Cartoon Network. The series has already gotten excellent reviews, including a "Critic's Choice" piece in the New York Times (8/18/00). It is being compared to "Rocky and Bullwinkle" -- Fun and silly to appeal to kids, with lots of wry humor for adults. Hope you'll check it out!

Well, um, I'm not really sure of the exact time slot in other time zones (I'm on Eastern time), but I am sure it will be in prime time on Friday evening. Check your local listings -- it should be great! --Nancy

With typical brilliance, I posted the above before checking cartoonnetwork.com, which says it's "Fridays at 9:30 (e/p)." Eastern and Pacific, presumably; don't know about others. --Nancy
