Thanks for letting us know how you are, Rosie. I know how it is with big sisters if they can't be close when we are in need. I am little sister to three of them!

My thoughts and meditations continue in my giving thanks for your complete recovery. Rest as easy as possible and take deep breaths and blow away the worry.

rosie here..thankyou for all your thoughts and prayers over the last few days..things were a little scary..I'm home now, and mmy progress is being carefully watched and things are not yet cleared..but I'm beginning to feel a lot better. I know Alison really appreciated your support as it's hard being so far away from your only little sister..thankyou again

Thanks, Alison, it is good to hear she is at home and eating well. Hate to hear of anyone having to be on steroids. If she wants to talk to someone who has been there and is there at the moment, please let me know. They play some real tricks with food cravings, emotions, etc. My dentist told they were instructed to never stress anyone while they were on them! Moving is not stressful, is it?**BG**

Just to let you know (some people had been asking in other threads)... Rosie got home on Sunday, I was talking to her in Paltalk yeserday....... there is still no firm diagnosis ......

she is feeling a heap better, eating like a horse..... she is on a load of steroids which they are gradually weaning down..........

thanks again for all the support and messages etc.. it has meant a lot.....

My cousin (who is more like a sister) has a little girl with CF and Krohn's. Last month, her infant brother was diagnosed with the same. Maureen has bad days and good but she is tough and won't give in - an amazing little girl who plays all the sports and takes step dancing classes. She was featured at the St. Patrick's Day parade. Your sister is getting bad news but it is treatable. My cousin has an on line group for support. PM me if your sister wants more information.

Allison: I know you'll have music in your house to help, 'n plenty of healing energy from around the Mudcat world. As Matt R said, it can be rough, BUT - it CAN be mannaged.. 'n lot's of music always helps.. (Sweetie 'n I are goin thru a tough time w/her elderly ill Dad, 'n it's quite astonishing how much listening to our favorite songs helps..)

Seamus--full, yes. Complete, no. Both Ulcerative colitis & Crohn's are chronic diseases, I know, I have UC. They are both treatable, but not curable. Besides the medicine, a good attitude in necessary in working toward remission. It can be tough, since the meds are well-known for causing mood swings. Good music, good thoughts, and good friends will help you immensely. I'm in the grips of a particularly bad flare-up right now, but I'm drowning myself in good music for the Thanksgiving break...so much new stuff to love...and so much new stuff to learn to play! You can be your own music therapist on the road to remission...good luck and God bless.

still no word..... I thought I would have heard by now.... but I know they had to abort one of the tests until she was a bit better... so maybe they are waiting to do it properly......

Glad you got some rest, Alison and that is such a lovely thought. Here we are, we Mudcatters, all around the world, knowing that when each other's loved ones need our thoughts and good wishes, we can count on another of us being awake and watchful, so they get continous blessings of light and love and good thoughts.

Seems like there should be a song about that, the Mudcat Net of Good Thoughts or Mudcat Continuum of some such. And, I love the image of singing lullys for those in need; just beautiful.

Right then, I am *seeing* Rosie, Ian, your da and you in the light of Mudcat love, cradled in the link of our arms, joined together to give you strength, peace, and hope and singing lullys all the while, as well as songs of thanksgiving for Rosie's healing.

thanks everyone..... just before I went to bed bed last night I was chatting with another mudcat friend on ICQ and he said... "you go to bed and leave her with with us, we'll look after her until you wake up" (or words to that effect... which I thought was lovely...

latest word is that it is probably ulcerative colitis (which is what I reckoned all along)... or crohns..... hopefully I'll know by later today
