Subject: Maratea Mandolins From: Tig Date: 25 Jan 01 - 10:43 AM Does anybody know anything about Mandolins made by Michelle Maratea in Naples? The one I have seen had a fluted back and lots of lovely pearl inlay. It was probably made in the first half of the 20th century. I'd like to know dates and any more info. Are they still being made today? |

I'll bet some of the classical musicians there would know about these. Good luck. |
