I have just come in from a session at the JUG where there were about 10 catters and I was asked the question "How many catters are there in the UK?" I supose Max would know the answer but I couldn't hazard a guess.
Would it be possible for you all to post to this thread and then we might all have a good idea.
Cheers Bill

There should have been 11 at the Jug!

Sorry I wasn't there last night, Bill, but I've got one of the many viruses that's doing the rounds. (I didn't think you'd want me coughing everywhere!) If the cough's better and the doughwork's on course for the start of the 8 day York outing that starts on 17th I should make it next week. If I don't, it'll be because I am grafting away.

Andrea

And I (see thread on grammar!) -- near Milton Keynes, Bucks, or Lichfield, Staffs, depending onthe day of the week, whether there's an "R" in the month, the direction of the wind, the phase of the moon, etc., etc.

Steve

How many's that so far?

Am still here despite BT, my phone line died wed 7th feb between 4 and 5 pm. Just after BT engineer was checking next door's line. I am told the earliest I can expect a repair man is the 13th (next tuesday). I don't believe BT is a credible company.

will check in from the library as best I can,am having withdrawal symptoms already.

You don't know what you got till it's gone

cheers

bill

Calling all Near Reading People - what clubs/etc do you get to?

We go to :
The Swan at 3mileX - singaround every sat night - very open and inclusive & encouraging
Lion in Rdg (Readifolk)- folk club (non-smoking) with guest nights + singers nights.
Russ's Country nights at Miller's Arms Caversham (new Country/everything night which I highly recommend - alternate wednesdays, next being 21st Feb)

Also go to a whole bunch of festivals in the vicinity over the summer.

Might be fun to have a M'cat gathering sometime since there seem to be a few of us within reach?

Kris

(And the "me/I" distinction is an artificial one imposed on the English language by snobs who thought that Latin grammar was inherently better than English. I only obey naturally occuring rules of grammar, so I also use double negatives and dangle my participles!!!)
