BigJ, I think I know who you are. We have met several times but a long time ago. And I sang at the Top Locks. I won't give your name here, but aren't your initials J K? I looked for personal page for you but the three names quoted didn't quite match your BigJ.

Burl, Big J is on the Isle of Man now but used to run the club in Runcorn in the early 70s. He knows me but I cant remember him, probably if I met him again I would remember. Give my regards to Elaine

Art, I gave Sam your CD and last time I mentioned it he was enjoying it very much and said to thank you for it. Burl , Do you remember a big ginger bearded Liverpool character who always wore a cloak, called Tony Wilson, the last I heard of him he was going to open a cafe to sell "Scouse". I often wonder if he is still around.

Bill, he's still around.He's a member of the shanty group Stormalong John. He changed his name to Tony Molynuex, I don't know why. I don't know about the cafe either. Cheers.

I deny everything. Regarding Tony Wilson/Molyneux, I saw him at a large funeral that both of us were at in Liverpool last November. I think he said he's living in Leeds or perhaps Oldham now. He still does conducted tours around Cain's (ex-Higson's) brewery in L'pool though. A ahanty singer AND a brewery guide - Heaven!
