Subject: RE: snug in the blanket/Scots pipe tune From: GUEST,kenny Date: 13 Dec 06 - 05:25 AM "Snug In The Blanket" I have always believed to be an Irish jig, which has been adapted for the Highland pipes. I've a strong suspicion it was the late Gordon Duncan [RIP] who put it onto the pipes. He certainly recorded it with the "Vale Of Atholl" Pipe Band. I also believe it was Gordon who turned it into a reel version as well. |
