Those of you who remember the thread "Help:How to cope with a huge workload" (sorry, can't do a blue clicky thing to link) may be interested to know that it is now sorted. I dropped Spanish a bit back, and as of today, I am no longer a Psychology student. Thanks to everyone who posted.

That's good news, Firecat. I went through a similar thing in my last year of college and thought I was just going to have to give up entirely.. then I realized it wasn't the end of the world, or even of my personal dignity, to drop one class and have to make up two credits the summer following "graduation." Good for you! Margaret

My step-daughter says one of the proudest moments of her life was decding to take a [fail] on one class. She was dealing with her third round of mono during freshman year, and had a prof that would not let her make up a speech because her doctor's excuse did not backdate the illness to when it must surely have been active (a day before the doctor visit). She decided she was too sick the day of the final to give a rat's patoot and rfag herself out just to earn a D for the semester. So instead of the D, she took the F, and plans to take the class again with another prof later on. Because she really liked the subject, and wanted to do well in it and learn lots of cool stuff.

This young lady, a recovering perfectionist I suppose, has just learned how to not be so tough on yourself that you screw yourself into the ground.

We are prouder of her for doing and learning this than for all the A's she's ever gotten.

Hallelujah!
