Subject: RE: theballadeers.com From: wysiwyg Date: 10 Jun 01 - 11:02 AM Nick, it looks like it is and will be a fine site. Some thoughts-- 1. I sure hope you will feature Seamus Kennedy. If you need information, contact me! 2. I REALLY hope you will add a link to Mudcat, and say more about what we do and have here, in terms of lyrics, music scholarship, and discussion. 3. If you are planning to add a discussion forum, I hope you will approach Max about acquiring the format we use here, which is the best in the world. And if not, I would hope you would work with him to develop a way to link people from here to your page, and vice versa, so that your site's visitors have a place to discuss the wonderful things you will have at your site. I am just a member here, not part of Max's staff, but if there are things to dream up about ways of working together, site-to-site, I would be very interested in corresponding with you. ~Susan motormice@hotmail.com |

Subject: RE: theballadeers.com From: Sorcha Date: 10 Jun 01 - 01:33 PM Clickie for the Balladeers site. Click on the title Balladeers to get to the goodies. Best viewed at 800 x 600. I keep mine set at 640 x 480 so I can read the small print, so I had to keep moving the bottom scroll bar to read it. Other than that, I like it! |

Subject: RE: theballadeers.com From: SeanM Date: 10 Jun 01 - 02:33 PM Easy way around that problem (of having to use the bottom scroll bar... Set your picture and size values based on percentage of pixels on screen, rather than absolute values. I use it, and while it does require more attention be used on indentations, it also keeps everything on screen. My two cents... M |
