Umm reminds me, I must get my act together and try to sort things out properly.... With luck, I will make my first crossing in October and may even get to the FSGW. The Press Room in Portsmouth NH is another place I have in mind...

Jon

This part of the Northern Journey website should give you a good start, middle, and finish to your search:

http://www.northernjourney.com/cdnfolk/res/canfolkres.html

Things that pop into mind include the Borealis festivities happening in Toronto, starting on the last weekend of June, (June 29th I believe)...as well as folk festivals such as Mariposa and Home County. Enjoy!

What do you "prefer" ? Stan Rogers tribute at Charlottetown festival ? Irish festival on Miramichi ?

I will go back and search for a recent thread in this regard. Back soon, I hope.

By the way, BW, as far as I am concerned, E Canada ends PQ. You Uppity Canadians don't know where the Appalacians are, do you ?

Great Googeley Moogeley !!! It worked !!!

You may wish to try the Green Linnet listings by geographical area every so often, as it gets updated.

Good luck and have fun.

For those who don't know, the northern part of the Appalacian Mountains kinda separate New Brunswick from Quebec (PQ). Pre-province day, there was Upper (hence, Uppity) Canada (ONT & PQ) and Lower Canada (The Maritimes).

We don't actually think Upper Canadians are uppity... we're just Maritimers and like to tease. Hell, we'd save their ass again, if they needed us. Like the time that we marched the Madawaska Snow Road to save their ass from invasion, or when we built the railroad out of reach of the yanks, or when we funded their economic development with our fish and forestry, or when we... Maritimers know that our Ontario and other western brothers don't really mean things like, "Let the Eastern bastards freeze in the dark." (during the oil crisis). We know they're just teasing.
