Whitby folk club will be held not at the Plough this week (Wed. 20th June) but on the Grand Turk moored opposite at the Dock End. Dont miss this one off evening!Still sorting out booze but this should be no problem. So if you fancy a bit haulin on the bowlin or friggin in the riggin be on board from 8-30pm onwards.

Hi Angel Any chance of having a session on Friday night, can't get Wednesday but am coming over on Friday. One more thing, I would like to get my son on board over the weekend but he's on cructches, could you possibly see if the crew could rig up a bosun's chair to get him below deck. If you see Redcar Mike he will explain the situation Cheers

Just back from Whitby had a Great Weekend Singing Sea Shanteys on Friday at Robin Hood Bay Folk Club the on the Bandstand in Whitby Saturday afternoon. Saturday Night Concert in the Albion Club and then Sunday Night in the Tap and Spile Session. Also on Sunday Master Liam Haywood has a personal tour of the Grand Turk he had a great time dressing up as a Pirate (Thank you Charles) . Mick Haywood got down to the fine detailos of the Folk Club being held on Board the Grand Turk (Great Venue or What!) This is going to be a very special night on Wednesday in Whitby! It starts at 20.30 GMT I am going to get there early! Even if I will have to drive out from Leeds see you all there.

If you can't get there on Wednesday and you have not yet visited the Grand Turk it will be in Whitby until Monday.

Have a great night, George. Maggie and I are sorry not to be there. Give our regards to the rest of the Whitbyites (Whitbarians? Whatever!) and make sure that they don't drug your drink and drag you off to Hartlepool or wherever the Grand Turk is off to next. Love to all!

What a night you missed Les but do not worry when the Grand Turk Returns to Whitby. Which they are keen to do it just a case of when! I'm sure Mick Haywood whose idea it was to move the Whitby Folk Club for the night to the Grand Turk. Will again want to repeat this amazing night we were full both in the Galley and on the Main deck. But there was still plenty of space. Well done to Peter and Sherry of the Tap and Spile. They Ran the bar and gave the Proffits to the Ships Crew. Charles Conner came along (horselips) Whitby Buskers and Ghost Tour Guides came on Board plus many more including Deric Elliot, Fiddler John a Full Line up of Coblers Monday and many more wonderful people who all made last night or this morning a night to rember. I arived home at around 3 am Thursday and I had to be up at 7 am to take my Mother to the airport. So I hope anyone who's name I have not included will forgive me! WHAT A BLAST SORRY YOU HAD TO MISS IT! The Grande Turk is there untill Monday I'm back over to Whitby this Weekend so is Mandoman (Tony and Mistress Whiplass Angie) If you can get over try the Tap on Sunday Night it The Crew Might be getting a send off they will remmember!
