4th Street, after 4 months of hard work in rehearsal hall played Windsor's 4th Annual Celtic Fest on Saturday and man oh man, the response has been overwealming!!!!

We were getting stopped all night saturday and all day sunday by people who'd seen, heard, and loved us! Even better in my opinion, was the hight praise from our fellow local musicians, the kids in Scruj MacDuhk, and JOHN ALLEN CAMERON! He heckled us from the wings while we were playing, and gave us a big Hazzza when he took the stage after us...

The sort of unfortunate thing is that in August, we're loosing our fiddle player/chick vocals to Ottawa... We have a great fiddle/Banjo/Accordion/Guitar/freaky headded player coming on, but the loss of her vocals is really gonna hurt... as is the loss of momentium and the need to revisit all the songs we though we had down... No doubt they'll improve...

I'm gonna make a T-shirt... "I was heckled by John Allen Cameron and all I got was this lousy T-shirt"

Well, as far as keeping the vocal mix, my bass players lady has started playing in another band that I'm in, singing and playing flute and whistles and maybe bodhran... so she may stride the fence with me and end up 'guesting' with 4th Street on a regular basis...

Anything I can do to have to put up with someone who 'just sings'... They tend to be like an anchor around the neck of any band...

But Nor'... if ya wanna come 'audition', I can show ya to my casting couch... `-)

hey... people come and people go... she's moving on, and we're just gonna have to do the same... there's no hard feelings either way...

On the CD's front, well... I wish, at this point... but with a serious membership change like that so close, I find there's not really much point in chasing that rabbit right now... but we do have all kinds of 'studio' connections these days, so when we do get recorded, I'll be sure to let you folks know!

And damn, but you HAVE been busy! I'm glad to hear you were so well received and it sounds like things are really going in the right direction for you! Then again CH, "right" direction in your case may be something completely different!(:<))

So I'm reviewign the video tape, and actually it didnt' come out half bad... not half great either, but not half bad...

Did someone say that Max occasionally plays video tapes on the 'radio show'?

It has been known, yep- we saw Skarpi's band on video as part of the radio brodcast, a good while ago now. Would be interested to see the 'not half bad' vid, if you're brave enough...*grin*

I'll see what I can edit together... the problem is, there's sometimes more crowd noise than band... we just used the cruddy wee mic in the camera from the first couple of rows of the audience... some interesting conversations....
