Subject: Llanstock 2 the conclusion
From: GUEST,EtV & Andrew
Date: 14 Oct 01 - 10:55 AM

Hello those of you who are left or on their way home. Andy and I have just stopped for petrol, and a coffee and found a cybercafe in Tesco in Manchester.
It's like being on the boat,(From Germany) but there are only two of us here and some others who know nothing about mudcat.
We had a real good time, last night's celiedh was pretty good. Bill called and people danced. The musicians played music. The people in the kitchen gave out food, drink and generally "kitched"

A very big thankyou to Bron (Llanfair) for all the very hard work she must have put in to make the weekend a success.
Good to see Andreas from germany, and I'm sure that almost everyone will add their "tuppence worth" as we get home.

just like to say it's been a very pleasant weekend for a first time mudcat reveller ....thanks to everyone.ANDREW.
EVERYONE Please pm Skipjack and tell him we all had a better time than him!!!!!

We're home! (17.15 Timperley time). What a great weekend, good fun, good beer, good company, lovely area, do I need to go on?

Thanks to everyone, especially Bron, who made the weekend a success.

No, the rain held off, which was a relief to those of us who were camping.
It has been a delightful weekend, and it is a bit early yet to organise all my thoughts. However, first and foremost, a big thank-you to Bron for making everything possible, and thank also to the people of Llanfair Caereinion for making us welcome. If Llanstock 3 goes ahead it would be nice if we could find a way to contribute something to a worthwhile cause for the town.

It was lovely to meet so many of you, and I was deeply impressed by the musical skills you all displayed. I heard lots of good songs from some very good singers, and some excellent music as well. The singing in the Institute after the ceilidh, provided some of the sweetest harmonies I have heard in a long time.

My ears are still ringing from the looooooong notes of "Clementine" - my hearing aid has probably been permanently damaged!

our time apart will be short, and pass

Super weekend. Fascinating putting faces to what were hitherto just names.

Many thanks to Bron for organisation including my 'digs' for the two nights. Didn't really want to leave such a lovely town and equally lovely people.

Thanks again for the company and hope to see you all again very soon.

Well, what can I say???? Huge thanks to Bron and all her "little helpers" special thanks to Julia and the staff at Pippins for looking after a bunch of itinerent folkies as if we were " conventional folk"!!!
The singing and Music was wonderful.. and esp the final sing in the Insitiute on Saturday night!!! everyone should expierence such singing at least once in their lives!!!!, I will carry that with me forever!!! Pure magic...just all of it !!! and yes, Bron did get a few chances to sing!!! and very, very nicely,,,

Thank you Bron,

and everyone who sang or played in the singarounds, I thank you for your support and tolerence of my somewhat eccentric way of doing things..
now , back to trying to figure out the questions of Mrs Duck and the Maltesers!!!

Brilliant weekend and brilliant pictures of it too! All other UK Mudcatters should be sad that they missed it and make sure that they can make the next one ...
Thanks everyone for making it so memorable - particularly Llanfair, of course! Having started off the singing on Friday night with the Cadgwith Anthem, every time I sing it from now on I shall think of Llanstock 2 ... See you all soon I hope.

Come fill up your glasses and let us be merry ... ,br> Alan

Thanks for a great time, although it sounds like we missed the best bits. Your ears may still be ringing from 'Clementine' Matthew - I've had a headache ever since - oxygen deprivation I reckon. What is this circular breathing anyway - I was breathing through my ears!

Snuffy, where might I find the words to the song about the bogies? And next time, hit the tap HARD!

Sorry I missed the Saturday evening.... but the bratling and I just flaked out!

If you think Clementine was loud and long, you should have been in the car with us on the way home when they played 'Zadok the Priest'!

I have pictures too, just as soon as I can remember where the disk is!!

Well, Bron..everytime I went into the garden at Pippins a naked man would emerge from the trailer....Diva wants me to hold a workshop on it next year.Strange to tell, I'm driving along with my son and telling him about it this afternoon and blow me if a naked man doesn't appear at a window right next to the car door....guess it's not just Llanfair after all...whoopeeee!!

All these naked men wandering about!! What do I get? An over excited poodle, female! ( But a very nice poodle, I must say ).

Now as to the sausages, did they actually get eaten? Are they still in the back of Liz's car? And I was assured that CMOT Dibbler had nothing to do with them!

They were supposed to be honey roast pork chipolatas, smoked pork with tomato+garlic+something and chicken with walnut and spring onion.

I only managed to post today as Parker tried to load up ntl world stuff and wiped out all my cookies!

Morty, I got in just after 9, no problem. how's the kitten? Has she got a name yet? I'm off to look at the photos ( which I will add to once I figure out how to! )

Sausages - are in the fridge, will investigate their edibility tomorrow. Couldn't face it today! Am now on anitibiotics so the swelling is going down slowly. Still having trouble eating, so am sticking to stuff like chocolate that melts. Maltesers are good, so are dragon droppings. Don't ask.

Found the disk, now how do I set them up so you can all see?

Or put it in the scanner and copy the disc into your hard drive...

Or if you want to separate the pictures, take a Stanley knife to the disc... sections about the size of a postage stamp should do...

(Sorry, it's been a long and hard day- bashed in the front of my car on the way home tonight- don't know yet if it'll be a write-off. I should have stayed in Wales...)
