I'm making my workshop-leader debut at the Getaway leading the Jewish Songs workshop. I have two questions/requests for folks interested in attending the workshop. Last time we had the session, we had trouble coming up with songs to do. This time, I'm trying to be more prepared (I didn't lead last time...didn't even know about the session 'til I arrived on site). I have one of the collections from Tara Publications and a bunch of songsheets I'm planning to bring, and I've been practicing a few of **my** favorites. I also know of a couple of websites I can snag songs off of. So my requests are these:

Does anyone have a song they're interested in hearing (and/or leading) but don't have the words to?

Does anyone have an on-line source for singable English translations? (or have translations you can bring?)

Let me know by Thursday evening and I can make sure I get songs printed out.

Thanks and see 'ya there!
-- Gary

Hi, Gary - I don't have any Jewish songs in my repertoire, but I hope to make it to your workship and learn some. Take a look at Zemerl, the Jewish Song Database.
