Here is an experimental page summarizing the Santa/Santee information so far. Please PM me when you get your gift, and send a picture of yourself with your gift if possible. I'll wait until I hear from you to put anything up. Since my email is clogged with spam, PM me first and I'll send my email addy. (I may be limited to pictures of 30K) If you'd rather snail mail a picture, I can scan it. Let me know what you think. Elf Robin and Elf Kim --- are y'all willing to help?

Same problems here. I managed to send you a PM this morning, but can't now.

I'm just waiting for one picture now, and I'll PM one more person to ask for a picture when I get my cookie back. I don't look for a lot of activity for a couple of weeks or so. I'll let you know about helping with the PM's when we get busier.

Everybody else --- let us know when your Secret Santa is revealed. And if you can send a picture of yourself with gifts that would be great!

French crepe/gaulette paddles (spatulas) make nice spanking sticks... Available at a Calais hypermarket for a mere 45Ff, (45p - about a buck) they are supple, smooth and come either round or pointy ended for those extra flourishes...

They're fantastic for getting that last little bit out of the food processor bowl (who designs these things with ridges in the bottom??) and are long and thin enough to get into the liquidiser jug. One of mine came with a traditional gaulette skillet, and I've been enamoured of them as a cooking utensil and instruemt of torture ever since....

Liz, usually with these things the Secret Santa stays secret until the gift is given. It's fun to give hints all along to keep folks guessing. Of course, everything is up to each individual how they want to handle it. The page for Santas, Santees and gifts is just a way for people to send pictures of themselves and/or gifts. I've had fun learning about a couple of people I didn't really know before.

well your Santee got it this morning thanks Blackcatter... and I am thrilled to bits.....

I got a beautiful leadlight photoframe, a scented candle, a little Wren (for St Stephen's Day), a book about Florida, and another little Christmas book......

I saw the postman coming up my steps armed with a parcel and I though.. "Yippee!!!"..... and then I saw the Florida address and got more excited... I'm just a big kid I suppose!!...... I will do a photo as soon as I can.....

Yes indeed! Mrrzy I went through the cookbook again last evening and picked out all the lovely things I am going to cook! Most of the recipes seem fairly uncomplicated, with easily obtainable ingredients. Whee! I told Mary I would send a photo of the dinner I make.

Now, here's the other irony... Mister had already ordered for me a Flamenco dance video. (that is going to be my next project once I master belly dancing) So I figure we will have a Spanish dinner, and watch the Spanish movie.

Can anyone recommend a good Spanish wine? :-)

Micca never CAN tell his right from his left!!! He's sorted the caption now though! I am the one on the right, with the blue sweater and glasses. The kitten is called Earthquake. She's about 12 weeks old in the photo and she is one of our two handicapped kottebs, the other one being Penelope Pitstop (aka Penny!)

Well, at least you know who I am now!! ;-))
