I couldn't the day slip too far away without saying it out loud; my wife and I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary yesterday. I am a very lucky man, indeed!

Jed, so did we, we must be cybertwins or something! We had a "drop" of wine with an Astaire video and I was allowed a mid-week Metaxas. Hope you had a good one!

Dec. 18th was our 34 1/2th anniversary, and my daughter's birthday (but I won't say which one. I'm only so stupid on any one day.)

Thirty-one and 38 years sounds pretty impressive, but I'm pretty sure I was married to my first wive for about 400 years between 1966 and 1983.

Congratulations, guys! If you're all celebrating, it must mean there are some pretty special people involved.....

Carol suggested we go out to the chicken yard and kill us a nice juicy chicken to celebrate. I said, "Why blame a chicken for something that happened 35 years ago!" ;-)

I'm envious Jed......I didn't get married til I was 37, 15 years ago. I wish I had 31 years with Karen instead of the 15 we have so far.......'Course that would have made her 12 at the time and I'd have been in jail..........well, skip it.....

I quit making the following remark when I got some strange looks. Then I heard Billy Graham's wife say it, so it's probably OK to say it now.

I think the people who are fortunate are the ones who can say they are happy to be married to the same person for 31 years. Maybe that's not very common. All the more reason for the ones who can say that to celebrate their good fortune.

Thanks to all the well wishers - and congrats to all the other anniversaries! I told Louisa I couldn't believe it had been 31 years, it passed so quickly; she said she believed it! LOL.

In truth, we really do count our blessings.
