Subject: Mudcat Awrds 2001 - Results From: Gareth Date: 06 Jan 02 - 06:35 PM Now, the big one, the Winner of the Mudcatter of the Year Award 2001. It was a hard choice, but I can say without fear or favour it was a unanimous decision of our electoral college (me). First and foremost in the nominations as they rolled in, was the overwhelming gratitude to those who spent their time and effort keeping the site running, correcting our errors, passing out good advice, and information and acting as a moderating influence.
I am humbly proud to announce the Joint winners of the Mudcatter of the Year 2001In no particular order, the joint winners are: - Max, Joe, Pene, The Mudcat staff & helpers, The Joe Clones, The Mud Elves, & Everybody who took the time to answer, or help on a question..
All those involved in the nominations, and those who nominated, not thinking of themselves, are awarded the Thank you all for participating. Gareth |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Awrds 2001 - Results From: Cappuccino Date: 06 Jan 02 - 06:58 PM Absolutely. Did the judging involve the traditional requirement to parade in the obligatory one-piece swimsuit, and are you crowning the winners with sash and spangly tiara? All the best - Ian B |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Awrds 2001 - Results From: Gareth Date: 06 Jan 02 - 07:02 PM No - I think the warm glow of realising that Catters care for them should be reward in it's self. Gareth |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Awrds 2001 - Results From: Gareth Date: 06 Jan 02 - 07:09 PM Please Note. All E-Mail addresses have now been removed from my computer address book - and tomorrow I will defrag and then run an incinerator on a 7 pass (US military specification) over my hard disc's non registered sectors. Can any Catter say (I use IE 5) why this should not work, I am anxius to remove any acusation that privacy has not been preserved. ( And to avoid spreading any virus or trojan I pick up) Gareth |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Awrds 2001 - Results From: Dead Horse Date: 06 Jan 02 - 07:42 PM Thats the fifth year in a row that I havn't won, and I got my beard trimmed for the acceptance speech. (goes off, mumbling about inner cliques, face not fitting, nepotism, etc.) AND I've only been here for one year. |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Awrds 2001 - Results From: Amos Date: 06 Jan 02 - 07:56 PM Let's hear a round of applause for Mudcat Solomon Gareth, who tapdanced his way out of a storm of synthetic virtual whining to spread a peaceful cloud of diplomatic happiness over all. Nicely turned, mate!! If we need anyone to negotiate with the Bush administration to recognize the Mudcat as a separate and sovereign State, I think I know who to choose!! If you don't mind coming over for a bit, of course!! A |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Awrds 2001 - Results From: Amos Date: 07 Jan 02 - 12:37 AM I don't think that's the correct spelling for a kick in the balls, Spaw. You really oughta get it right, don't you think?? It can be offensive to people when you kick them in the balls and spell it wrong!!! A |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Awrds 2001 - Results From: Liz the Squeak Date: 07 Jan 02 - 02:22 AM Hey Spaw, what about those of us without balls (of the genetic kind, not the metaphorical kind) to kick. You are deliberately excluding a large percentage of Mudcatters with that statement of yours (and your spelling sucks). We demand a tweak of the hooters before the day is out or there will be recriminations the like of which you have never even imagined! LTS |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Awrds 2001 - Results From: catspaw49 Date: 07 Jan 02 - 05:42 AM NEW CONTESTIt has become apparent that I have made yet another "fo spaw" (two actually) and now beg your joint pardons. Anyone wishing to pardon my joint, feel free to do so...or anything else that sounds like a good time. However, it has been pointed out that my spelling of the classic "ball kick" is in error. Please submit to Gareth your personal suggestions as to the proper spelling. Feel free to practice on any males around to get the proper effect/sound to translate to the written word.
ALSOI certainly didn't mean to negate the contributions of ball-less, hooter-endowed 'Catters, so I offer up tittie-tweaks to all along with my sincerest apologies. Please form a line to the left. Spaw |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Awrds 2001 - Results From: MudGuard Date: 07 Jan 02 - 06:08 AM Is it drug trading if you sent the joints to the winners? Or is it not because you do not sell the joints? SCNR, MudGuard |
